Here’s my story: Today I wanted to send a reminder text message to my friend. Usually I hate texting because of all the button punches it takes to send a semi-long message. This is when Jott came to the rescue…

- The recording asked me who I wanted to jott
- I choose melissa (from my personal contact list)
- After the beep I spoke my message into my cell phone
- Jott automatically transcribed my vioce message so that my friend melissa received the exact message as a text message.
- got it?!

Jott is a free internet service that allows you to post to your blog, or to your e-mail, or your friends e-mail, or even as a text message via your phone. All you’ll have to do is sign up for free at Jott.com and you can dial jotts number, and whatever you say will be transcribed as a text message on e-mail, a blog, or even an entry into your Google calendar. You decide.
Jott doesn’t have a whole lot of explanations on their front page as to how their service works. You just have to signup and see how cool it is.
